CHARITY WORK
2011- GIRL EFFECT FLASHMOB
When I was fourteen years old I organized three flashmobs to raise awarness for the organization Girl Effect. They helped adolescent girls living in poverty. We didn't plan on raising any money- however we managed to raise $10,000 just through support and donations.
2013-DANCE EFFECT CONCERT
In 2013, I decided to take it a step further by working with Friends to Mankind and organizing a charity dance concert. We raised $102,000 for childrens charities in Malaysia within one month.
2014-DANCE4CHARITY
In 2014, I helped DanceSteps Studios and Friends to Mankind organize Dance 4 Charity. This was an event where they brought professional dance instructors from New York City to teach a workshop for a week with a concert at the end of the week. We managed to raise $70,000 and all the money collected was donated to Fugee School and Make a Wish Foundation Malaysia.
